 Very good results for price, fantastic packaging December 21, 2008

As a beginner Guitarist I wanted to listen to myself playing guitar, and add-on a chords track.
I did not want to add a firewire card for this purpose
So I looked for a USB based recording device.
The AudioBox 2x2 USB is great, I use the bundled "Cubase 4 LE" software.
No installation hiccups. a very rugged and quite pretty box, like the way the tunning dials feel.
SOund is good, inputs and outputs are easy and accesable, small box, comes with little rubber stickers to attach to the bottom for a more stable stand on your table.
I am very happy.

There is no Windows Vista 64bit driver released for this product. That's a very sad fact being how long Vista has been around. Now I have to go through all the headache of returning their useless product.

When the first time I got this item from Amazon, the disk of the driver is broken. Amazon responded and helped me to replace the item promptly. This part I need to give Amazon a lot of credit.
After installed the driver on my Windows XP, the device works. However, every time when my notebook is powered up or the AudioBox is connected, the Windows keeps asking me to install the driver. I contact the technical support of PreSonus, they told me that they never heard this problem and ask me to talk to Microsoft. I understand that the technical support guys probably received millions emails per day and they probably too busy to help me with the problem. But don't they know it's their driver causes the problem, not the windows. My other usb devices never have the same issues.
